First game experiences
Backstory
About 2 years ago was when I stopped working on my first game. This was a project that I worked on for 1.5 years. It was how I started programming. This game was unnamed and didn't even have a menu. The Game
This game was based on Crypt of the Necrodancer. This was a fast paced tile dungeon game. There were no key listeners. In order to more, the play had to type in the word "move" and the keyword of where they wanted to move, such as "up" or "down." The graphics were pixelated. The main character was a munk like character shown below.

What I learned
During this game I learned many things. Here is a brief summary of how my first game went:
- How to render textures. Rendering textures seemed very simple to me at first. In this age of technology, uploading something you draw is as simple as clicking upload, finding where the image is at and clicking upload. However, I found out that it wasn't that simple. I needed to understand how the method worked and understand how textures are render essentially pixel by pixel. After that, I realized that I needed to create a texture manager because I needed more than one texture for a player. The player had to turn right and left and I needed to draw that.
